Opened the fridge and the eggs were calling my name, but I shh'sed them. I opened my cabinet and my Beverly Protein was calling my name, but I closed that cabinet! I pulled out my gluten Free- Steel cut quick oats, and got to work on my breakfast.
Breakfast:
1/2 cup oats
1 packet (1 serving) Vega Protein - chocolate
7 frozen blueberries
1 heaping teaspoon almond butter
OK, so it wasn't exactly heavenly, but I am full, it hit the spot and it's a start to feeling incredible again!
Still fighting this fatigue, I had my coffee (1 cup per day), and went to work. After my sessions, I went right to Equinox to run. Had I known it was going to be 60 degrees out, I would have run outside! Sheesh! It's incredible outside! I must admit, I like running inside, because my warm up is rather long and while I don't think rolling around in my grass right now would be a good thing, being indoors on a squishy mat with foam rollers and those sticks (with beads) really help me to prep for my run.
I did 4.5 miles = 00:40:40
Calories = 408
heart rate = 135-165
I was tired, but stayed focused on my goal. Today was not even about time, and I didn't sprint once. I just wanted to glide...and that's what I did. I feel good and I feel like I am right on point for this race-
Speaking of which!!!!! I just received my pullover from NYRR!!! It's sweet! hot pink! LOVE IT! SO skied to show it off! This is such a HUGE goal for me, and while at times I don't feel confident enough, I know at the end of the day when I put my mind to something- I get it done! Can I share a great shake I just INHALED!?!?
- 8 oz. White Cashew vanilla cinnamon agave- (from Blue Print)
- 1 packet Vega chocolate protein
- 1 tbsp Maca powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 4 oz water
- ice
- 1 medium banana
SO DELISH! I'm pretty full right now too. It hit the spot! I'm on a good track so far! Just Dinner to go for the day and I am thinking left over Eggplant Chana Masala, and a huge salad.
Between now at my RCIA class tonight, I will have a nice cup of hot tea, and 3 Glo-Bites!
Here is today's reading..... Maybe take a few minutes to read it, give it some thought and share with others?
VERSE:
Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD
.. they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the
fruit of their schemes.
-- Proverbs 1:29,31
THOUGHT:
Sometimes the natural consequence of rebellion is its own justice. Rebellion ultimately produces bad fruit, and wickedness is often its own worst punishment. In the face of such a generous God as we focused upon yesterday, how could we choose to follow any
other path but his? It may seem harder in the short run, but in the long run there is simply no option that compares!
PRAYER:
Father of justice and mercy, thank you for saving me by your grace.

Father of justice and mercy, thank you for saving me by your grace.
Thank you for promising to judge the world with grace,
mercy, and justice.
mercy, and justice.
In you, and you alone, do I find my sense of
what is right and fair.
what is right and fair.
I cry out to you, O God, for justice and
deliverance for your people who are oppressed, ridiculed, and persecuted.
deliverance for your people who are oppressed, ridiculed, and persecuted.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
