There is no time to think about the pain

My-O- MY are my poor legs and glutes FRIED. I can't even believe I was able to run today. I warmed up for a while today with the foam roller, the beaded stick and some hip flexor stretches... Felt really good to go at a slower pace. I didn't rush the warm up or the first mile. I am trying to be as nice as I can to my legs so they are REALLY nice to me the day of my race! So, today was only a 3 mile run, and I started at 6.0 for the first, and then 6.5 for the second and to mile 3, I was running at 7.0 finishing at 7.1.... Time was 27:40.

The advice I get from RUNNERS who do FULL marathons is that I should be pacing myself, and not running for time....to save it for race day. Well, you sure don't have to twist my arm~ I don't mind running nice and easy. What I DO love is that my legs are so tiny, and right after I run they are so hard!

My body is finally adjusting to the CREATINE, which I am also happy about. I weighed in this morning at 110.6 lbs- PHEW! I felt so lean this morning. As much as I want to be completely Vegan, I can't. I FEEL so good when I have a TINY bot of buffalo, egg whites and tuna- Imagine!?!?! I really am in a good place as far as my training and nutrition. Like I have said, it's the freakin' VEGAN CHIPS! GRRRRR!

Check out this recipe I made~ I told you about it in yesterday's blog:

*4 egg whites
*6 blackberries
*1/2 scoop Vega chocolate protein
*coconut oil
*1 packet truvia (natural sweetener)

How you prepare it: coat a microwaveable bowl with coconut oil- NOT TOO MUCH. add the eggs and protein and mix well. Add the blackberries and truvia and mix again. Nuke for 1 minute. Take out and stir the mixture. Nuke 1 more minute and take out. Check to see if the mixture looks runny or stiff. If runny, nuke for a few more seconds.
I served mine over two brown rice - rice cakes... They were really tasty. While it may not look so tasty by the picture, this little creation did the trick! You can use whatever fruit you wish- but if I were you, looking to get in a bathing suit, I would stick to the berry family.
