Race day!

Wow! It's here! Finally! Yesterday I was calm, relaxed and sooo in the moment. FOr dinner last night I made a salad, brown rice pasta and a veggie burger....I inhaled the brown rice pasta, and ate enough for 2 people! It was delicious! When I woke up this morning I was starving. Got on the scale and it jumped 3 pounds! I think from all the water I drank and the brown rice pasta! :O)

So, I got my bag packed, made some green tea and a slice of Ezekiel toast with Almond butter & banana. I am just sitting and reflecting back to when I first started and how I thought running 1 full mile non stop was such a huge milestone! THIS- TODAY my friends is a milestone! I am so amazed at how far I have come since July! Not only with my running, but my connection with God, My connection with so many new incredible women and my connection, love & respect for ME.

I have the most awesome play list, the best gear, all NIKE of course, my GOO and my polar heart rate monitor! This Green Goddess is going to run like the wind!

(click here)     So here is my run today!

The 13.1New York will be run within historic Flushing Meadows Corona Park, home of the 1939 and 1964 World's Fair.  The race begins in front of Arthur Ashe Stadium the venue that hosts the US Tennis Open. As your running tour begins you wind through the park passing the New York Hall of Science, the Queens Wildlife Center, and the Unisphere.  At the southern end the course loops around Meadow Lake, returning back into the park for a second loop and finishing in the shadow of the Unisphere for a great post race party.
Well my friends! I will be back to let you know how I do! Have a great day! I know I will!

3 more days!

Well, all my hard work is out of the way! I have done everything to train myself for my big event on Saturday. Today and tomorrow and rest and pampering days. Today, I am getting a massage which my body is sooo looking forward to! My neck is stiff and my shoulders are tight because that is where I carry any stress, so I need this BIG TIME! I had a massage in February- LONG OVERDUE! I am also going to pick up my race packet which will be so exciting.

Friday I will just train some clients in the morning and then go to get my hair done. I may even go sit on the beach with a great book, put my feet up and just get in my zone.

This afternoon, I got my INTENSE deep tissue massage! OH MY! If you are in the Harrison, Mamaroneck, Rye, or White Plains area, you must contact me! This woman has incredible strength, and amazing personality and beautiful soul. The whole experience was just great!

After my massage, I headed downtown NYC to pick up my race packet! I will post pics tomorrow....My race number is 838! Go play the lotto! I am really anxious and excited now! As I walked in I saw tons of people grabbing their packets and numbers, and so I just smiled, said hello to everyone and wished people good luck! I am still smiling!

For my good eats today:
#1- Lara bar & a pear
and tall coffee with hot soy

#2- Brazil nuts (6) and 6 tbsp goji berries

#3- this tiny rice & tofu concoction from Whole Foods. along with a tiny concoction  of sauteed mushrooms & peppers with a serving of Mary's gone crackers..

#4- Another coffee on my way down town (VERY RARE to have two in once day)

#5- Starving when I got home (6 hours later from last meal) I had a slice of Ezekiel bread, 1 tbsp almond butter and pumpkin

#6- Spaghetti squash with RAO'S sauce ( no time for homemade!) corn and Lima beans & a veggie burger

I am drinking so much water I feel pregnant! I need to though for my race as well as from this intense massage!

I will be back tomorrow to report the day before the BIG DAY!
