4 miles! 43 minutes

YEP! Well I set the alarm for 4:40am, but THAT didn't happen! SO, after I was done with my clients, I flew to Equinox, switched sneakers and did my 15 minutes of DYNAMIC stretching followed by my 4 mile run....YEP! This week and next week I will be doing 4 miles on Tuesday and Thursdays and 5 miles on Sundays! I am so siked! I felt great today...It took about 1.5 miles before I was warmed up and in my zone, but once I was there, I felt as though I were the only one in the whole gym! :O)  Yes, I am still running indoors, but soon to switch to the track, before the road...LISTEN ladies, I gotta take it slow and steady! I have arthritis SEVERELY in both knee (looking at double knee surgery) and in my left ankle as well!

5.6~ 1st mile
5.7~ 2nd mile
5.8~ 3rd mile
5.9~ 4th mile! :O)

Those runners reading this, my shoulders are down, I'm not tense, but I still get this cramp in between my shoulder blades while running! What the hell!
so 43 minutes & 450 calories later, I should have stretched and walked out, but I felt so amazing, I did some abs, and some resistance bands workout stuff- just to stay pumped! :O)

Off to make some lentils and filet mignon for Mario, I will have lentils and a veggie burger- kids are with gramma....

Have a great night!

My Running recap to date!

So, i was looking over my workout journals trying to figure out when I started this running addiction/ passion...
The exact date was July 27th! WOW! it went pretty much something like this:
3 min walk, 1 minute run for about 15-20 minutes...

By August 11th, I was up to 3 miles, but would stop for a minute about 2-3 times.....After I got back from Italy on August 29th, that is when my LIFE changed!
September 15, marked my First milestone! 3.5 miles in 34 minutes NON STOP! I felt amazing that day..It was a 6am run, and it got me thinking that was the best time for me as far as my energy levels! from that day on, every Tuesday and Thursday, I would run 3.5 miles non stop... Sundays would be my longer run of 4.5 miles. September 20th marked another milestone for me! 4.5 miles NON- STOP! I did this for the past 2 weeks. Tomorrow marks yet another new milestone for me...here is how the next two weeks will go...
Tuesday- 4 mile run
Thursday- 4 mile run
Sunday- 5 mile run!
OMG! This week is really going to get me out of my comfort zone! YIKES! I am so excited!

www.runnersworld.com
www.coolrunning.com
www.marathonrookie.com (thanks April!)

These sites are great! I have totaly transformed my workouts from BODYBUILDER type, to Athele type..
BEST PART? I work out at Equinox Fitness Clubs...I have been there for years, and used to work there for years a very long time ago...So, I know everyone in there. It's my second home and I love it! Anyway, for me to walk in and get 4 compliments in one day about how I have changed my physique, well, I was sooo siked! I am a very shy and humble girl, so to take these compliments is HUGE for me! I thanked them all and got even more motivated to continue doing my THANG! :O) Thanks Guys!

Well, Tomorrow is my 4 mile run at 5am.....Wish me luck!
Until tomorrow...Stay Green, Stay healthy, Stay happy!

Hey Bloggers!

SO, I am beginning to think I am a RUNNER now! LOL! I also think I am getting a little obsessed lately...I find myself reading numerous articles about running and everything from how to run, to what to eat and what race I should enter.
I went for my run today and did 4.5 miles for the second time! I am so siked~ When I get off, I have to literally walk around the gym for about 15 minutes, catch my breath and tell myself how proud I am OF MYSELF! :O)
It's rainy and gross here in NY- It's the perfect day to stay inside, so I did just that! Plus I cleaned EVERYTHING! I miss having a cleaning lady, but I hate not trusting people in my home and I also hate when they don't show up! SO, I am forced to do it myself! Both Mario & I are NEAT freaks!

I told you in my video about my new fabulous supplement MACA POWDER here is why I take it! Look at all the benefits!

Maca is a nutrition-packed root vegetable, also known as “Peruvian ginseng,” that grows in the mountain plateaus of the Peruvian Andes. It is rich in amino acids, phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals, and has been used as a traditional source of both food and medicine by indigenous people since the time of the Incas.

This plant has been credited with many healthful effects, including:
Increasing energy, stamina and endurance
Enhancing libido and treating impotence
Stimulating fertility in both sexes
Supporting the immune system and adrenal function
Reducing chronic fatigue
Regulating and supporting the endocrine system

Maca is a powerful adaptogen that has long been used to treat menopausal symptoms and is now being prescribed by many health practitioners as a safe, effective alternative to Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Maca's reputation as a powerful enhancer of strength and stamina and as a libido-fertility herb goes back more than 500 years, and today it is gaining worldwide attention for its effectiveness.

From a nutritional standpoint, maca is rich in sugar, proteins, starches, and important minerals, such as iron, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorous. It also contains numerous trace minerals (including iodine), B vitamins, linoleic and oleic oils (essential fatty acids), and 18 amino acids, including 7 of the 9 essential amino acids.

There you have it! I put it in my shakes! I have also sprinkled it on my flax waffles, but almost gagged- not a good idea...very chalky!  :O(

Here is how mu run went today:
5.6~ 1 mile
5.7~ 2nd mile
5.8~ 3rd mile
5.9~ 4th mile
6.0~ 5th mile
400 calories
heart rate was 156~171 a little higher than normal, hmmm
43 minutes

SO, that's all I got for ya girlies! Keep checking on youtube! I have some SICK recipes going on this week!!
Enjoy your WET Sunday!

Well, since I did not do my run this morning....it's going to have to be at 10:30....Which is still early, but I realized yesterday that working out at 4:00 after running around all day is NOT my BEST TIME OF DAY! I sucked in the gym yesterday! BUT! Have no FEAR! SUPERWOMAN is back today!

Softening Judgment

Something I read this morning.....

Moving Beyond Appearances

It is our natural inclination to judge people, since it happens without our even thinking about it. We take one look and summarize a whole person—overweight, pretty, stylish, sloppy. This habit comes from the mind’s need to categorize the world in order to be able to function without becoming overwhelmed. When we judge, we are looking for pertinent information, trying to determine whether the person approaching is a threat, an ally, or someone we don’t need to worry about. This way of looking at people makes sense in a dangerous context, but in our daily lives it leads to an overly simplistic reading of the people we meet.

If you have ever judged someone dismissively, only to have them become a dear friend once you got to know them, you know the hazards of the judgment cycle firsthand. An experience like that may have led you to soften your natural tendency to believe your first impressions. We will always notice things about the people we meet, but as we become more conscious of the shortcomings of judgment, we won’t be satisfied with our surface observations. We may notice that someone is driving an expensive car, but we will decide whether to befriend her based on getting to know her over time. We will not rule out a friendship with someone with messy hair, especially if he turns out to have a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Liking or disliking a person is a choice you will naturally make, but it will be after you have gotten to know them.

Next time you notice yourself judging somebody, try to send love, light, or blessings to the person you were judging. Then try to listen to them openly or look them in the eye and learn something about them. If this is not easy for you, remember not to judge yourself either. Trust that with practice, you will successfully disable your habitual patterns. As you do, you will find a whole new dimension of perception opening up to you, allowing you to see beyond the surface and into the essence of the people you meet.

Getting something off my chest!

Ok, so those of you who know me or have been following me....Have you EVER heard me say that I AM THE BEST TRAINER, or I am THE BEST NUTRITION COACH, or I am the BEST WIFE or MOTHER OR FRIEND??? NEVER!!!!!!!!!! Why? Beccause I am HUMBLE, respectful and aware of teh fact that I am NOT THE BEST AT ANYTHING, BUT I DOOOO MY BEST at everything..Are you with me here???

I do NOT compete wih any trainers, or INSTRUCTORS, or nutritionists. All I do is try my best to motivate, educate and inspire women of all ages. I DO take pride in my education and certifications in personal training and nutrition and I ALWAYS continue my education from AMAZING TEACHERS in the industry.

I don't know why people feel the need to say things like "THE BEST CLASS IN (such and such County) blah blah blah, or I'm the best trainer in this town..etc, you get my point....It was directed at me personally and I know that, but what I can't understand is why?  Whatever happend to woman being humble? sweet? sincere?  I am all of those things and will NEVER stoop to that level! Makes ya less pretty! :O)

Anyway, I want my CONNECTICUT girls to know that I know I am NOT the best in CONNECTICUT, but I damn well do my best to kick your ass, make you feel sexy, lean and beautiful and most of all help you find balance and health in your life.

So if trainers want to "TOOT their own horns" go for it! Know yourself out! My clients love me! My firends and family love me, and at the end of the day...Girl- it's alll that matters to me! I don't compete! NO NEED TO! I have my own THANG going on!
;O)

I love my life, my job and most importantly myself! I am comfortable in my own skin, with my education and my knowledge! I have transformed womens bodies and lifestyles, and will continue to do so!!

Did it AGAIN! Yep, I did!

Last night I put it in my head that I was going to get up at 4:30, and get my ass to the gym to do my run! Ahhhh! 3.5 miles in 33 minutes! CHECK PLEASE! I was so happy! Honestly it was a rough start though. It took about 10 minutes to wake up! But I just listened to my new play list, zoned out, and JUST DID IT! I came off the treadmill, feeling light, soaking wet and accomplished! Once again, NON stop!

Whitney Houston has made a HUGE comeback! Have you seen her on Oprah! I was sooo inspired by some of her songs! One song "I didn't know my own strength", and the other song, "I look to you"....for some reason those songs stick with me. You should listen to the words of both. Anyway, doing figure competitions for me were easy. Working out and pounding weights like a man were always EASY to me- I knew my strength. RUNNING- I NEVER used to like because I didn't think I could- I didn't know my own strength! Now I know, and I opush my self and think to myself to get through it! Each time I complete a run, I get mentally stronger! I love this feeling!

My post run meal...
1 Packet- Hemp chocolate protein
2 tbsp hemp hulled seed
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen whole cranberries
1/2 banana
3 tbsp bee pollen
2 tbsp CHIA
1.5 cups water

Now sipping my coffee...waiting for my FIRST victim of the day!
Have a fabulous day! Think positive! Recognize your own strength- look deep within YOU!

so annoyed!

I made two really great videos yesterday! Blogger had difficulty uploading them....GRRR...I will try again today! I think yesterday was one of my BEST days yet! I was sooo full of energy from that damn run early in the morning...had another fab workout in the afternoon, bumped into some friends and spoke to another friend who lives out in CALI.... ate super clean, and had a great night with my family! MY LIFE IS NOT GOOD, it's GREAT!

Woke up a little tired today, (wonder why). so people have been noticing my body changes.....So I got on the scale this morning...WHOAH!!!!! 122.6! Um, really? did it again to make sure, yep! I am finally losing all the bulky-ness I wanted to get rid of!

I used to love the feeling of being sore and not being able to sit on the toilet after a leg workout....NOW, I love the feeling of running and NOT being sore, but being flexable!

Hot Yoga is on my agenda starting next week...This week is full of errands, family and business stuff! SHEESH! I am getting busier and busier....Is it vacation time again? HA!

Todays workout:
Total body...
Arc Trainer 25 minutes

I will be back and hopefully with some videos! :O(

WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START MY DAY!!!!!

Mario had a 6am client this morning, I didn't have a client until 8am. I had to drive with Mario to the FItness Center because my daughter needed my car. SO I figured why not get my run in nice and early! The goal was 3.5 miles WITHOUT STOPPING! I am sooo excited to say I SUCCEEDED!!! I am so proud of myself and So excited! I did the run with NO problem! I think that means I am adapting to running very well. I also think that because I have been pacing myself, I don't get burnt out or tired. Drinking water helped me along the run as well. I usually don't drink anything until I am done, but today while running, I sipped from my water bottle . WOW it helped a lot! Here is what I did:
3 minute warm up @ 3.4
5.7 1 mile5.8 1 mile5.9 1 mile
6.0 1/2 mile
34 minutes!!!!!!!

YA HOO!!!!! I came home from work with Mario around 11:30...Had my EZEKIEL wrap with 5 egg whites, chopped red onions, chopped tomatoes, 1/2 avocado, 1 tbsp hummus. After that I passed out! I was So tired from getting up so early and running before the sun came up!

As soon as I woke up, it was back to the gym for round 2- Total body blast and 15 minutes on the recumbant bike.

When I am done, I am so quick to have a GREEN GODDESS shake, but Oprah had on Whitney Houston, and I just sat there mesmorized by this interview! What a come back! It was a tear jerker and a very uplifting show! GO WHITNEY! Back to my shake!

Bee pollen benefits your immune system. Bee pollen contains proteins, mono and polyunsaturated fats, vitamins B, C, D, E, and beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, selenium, nucleic acids, lecithin, and cysteine, all of which have been proven effective in strengthening the immune system.

Bee pollen helps build resistance to allergies. Because bee pollen contains traces of the substances that can trigger allergic hay fever, some allergists prescribe it to help lower sensitivity to local plant pollens.

Bee pollen helps you to cope more easily with stress. Because it has a full complement of amino acids, essential fatty acids and vitamins that help regulate mood, taking bee pollen supplements can help you control the stress in your life.

Athletes have used bee pollen for centuries to help themincrease their energy and endurance. While studies have yet to bear this out, it makes logical sense that the long-term effects of using a bee pollen supplement are extremely beneficial to athletes.

Considering the full spectrum of nutrients that bee pollen provides, it only makes sense that long-term bee pollen supplements would help athletes - who deplete their bodies of necessary nutrients on a regular basis.

Bee pollen should be avoided by those that have an allergy or sensitivity to bee venom. Other than a worsening of allergic symptoms in those who are already allergic, there are few bee pollen side effects.

CHIA SEEDS

What makes the Chia Seed the super food that many claim it to be?

30% of the chia seed’s oil is Omega 3 oil. 40% of its oil is Omega 6 oil. This provides the nice balance those who take supplemental Essential Fatty Acids are looking for. The chia seed’s substantially dense percentage in alpha-linolenic fatty acid also makes this seed a healthy dietary source of fatty acids.

You do not need to grind the Chia Seeds to digest it. It is a relatively easy to digest seed, whereas flax seeds are not. Often, one has to grind flax seeds to be able to process them in their digestive system. That is not the case with chia seeds.

The chia seeds are great for athletes because they are highly hydrophilic. Being hydrophilic means it absorbs large amounts of water. Chia Seeds can absorb over 10 times their weight in water making them a great enhancer in hydrating our bodies. They absorb the water we drink holding it in our system longer.

Studies show that eating chia seed slows down how fast our bodies convert carbohydrate calories into simple sugars. This leads scientists to believe that the chia seed may have great benefits for diabetics.

The chia seed gels when becoming wet and this gel, when in our digestive systems, helps prevent some of the food, hence calories that we eat from getting absorbed into our system. This blockage of calorie absorption makes the chia seed a great diet helper. Eating the seeds also helps dieters by making them feel fuller faster so they will be less hungry!

Chia seeds provide antioxidant activity

Chia is a great addition to a detoxification program. Chia seeds are high in fiber and in healthy oils making them an excellent addition to many detox programs.

Mix Chia seeds into yogurt, sprinkle them on cereal in the morning, add to salads, or even add them to your baking. There are many ways to add chia seeds into your daily routine!

Around for centuries, the chia seed in only now starting to gain recognition as the super food that many health gurus have always known it to be. Will this be a short lived health fad or will the chia seed become common place in the household cupboards of the 21st century?

Through the Years!

ahh, I love looking at old pictures! Well, ok, some pictures I can do without ever seeing again, but looking at the way I changed over the years.Have you done that? Here are some pics of me over the years through different phases of my life...
ENJOY!

Me in August of 2006 prepping for my first figure competition! I was so excited and so determined to get on that stage and rock the audience!
And here I am during pre-judging outside....Getting ready to find out if I placed in the top 5...Well, out of 12 girls, I placed second! Holy Crap! I was freaking out! This was a great day! I met a very special and very close friend Kara FIner...who took first place that day! We have been super close since then! LOVE HER!

Then it was time for my second competition! Here I am practicing my poses. This competition would be held in June of 2007. This time I was more focused, more intense then I was the first time. This show put a sour taste in my mouth. The promoter of the show was also the trainer to the girls I competed against on stage....I had no shot! I was the new kid on the block.
I felt so good the day of the show as far as I looked. I was 116lbs, and about 13% bodyfat. My stage presence blew away the competition. I got marked because I was a bit too shiny on stage. hmmmm, nice excuse!
This was right before pre-judging! I was in the best mood and so excited to get up there.... and then.... The top 6 girls get up there, and They say I placed 5th! Yah know what, I smiled gracefully accepted my trophy and waved to the crowd.
well after that competition, I stepped back and really just started to work on my self esteem, my confidence and my body. But most importantly, I realized that I do not need a row of judged analyzing my body and pick me apart after all my hard work. I am not like most girls that compete...In the off season, I don't put on 20-30lbs...I stay in great shape all year. Unfortunately, my genetics do not allow me to get that full muscular look that figure competitors get.  I have come to accept that when I get lean, I am looking my best. Here I am 2 months before my wedding in 2008. looking pretty lean, and the best part is that I was NOT dieting for a show and was not doing hours of cardio.  I would do YOGA 2 X's a week, train total body 4 times a week and off 1 whole day.
i still wanted to compete, but wasn't 100% sure. All I knew was that I looked my best and thought maybe now I am ready to get on the stage, but every time I picked a show, I backed out! It was a sign, maybe I didn't belong there anymore. Maybe I should be happy with just looking great and working hard.
Here I am in May of 2009. I started to help my friend Nicole get ready for her show! She did fantastic for her first show!
This pic was from June of 2009 this past summer...I think my arms are still a little thick here..but my glutes legs and back look great!
And here I am NOW! Lean, small, tighter and in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE! I eat like a GREEN GODDESS, workout 3 times a week, and run 5 days a week. I love my life, I am happy with my body and finally in a great place MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY, SPIRITUALLY and PHYSICALLY!
I am THE GREEN GODDESS!

New Running Schedule for this week...

Woke up starving as usual! It's so amazing that I don't need an alarm clock...Either my husband is at the foot of the bed nibbling on my toes, or my belly is saying "Tina, feed me, I'm hungry"! SO I got up and made my Green Goddess Shake. I popped my vitamins and out the door I go.

Yesterday I was suppossed to go for a run, but I had so many errands and was on the hunt for a FABULOUS dress...and so today- THE HUNT CONTINUES!

As far as running today- I am not. Today is a recumbant bike & Total body workout day, because tomorrow is a long run! A 3.5 mile run without stopping ONCE! I wrote out a new agenda for my running this week. I am started to get a little obsessed about getting in some more time and being a more efficient runner.

What do ya think:
  • Monday: bike- 30 minutes & total body
  • Tuesday: 3.5 mile NON STOP run
  • Wednesday:Arc Trainer- 25 minutes- ASS WHOOPIN & Total body
  • Thursday:3.5 miles NON STOP
  • Friday: Rest day!
  • Saturday: 40 minutes Arc trainer & total body
  • Sunday:4.5 mile run- Stop 2 times only for 1 minute!

This is the plan this week...SO I am slowly working my way up to more miles...Unfortunately, my knees control my pace and speed. My mind and body want to sprint 10 miles a day, but It AIN'T happening! :O(

As far as my diet...I am eating less meals, but LOADS of veggies and some fruits.....I feel great! Not missing red meat. Last night I made a homemade sauce with meatballs and Brown rice pasta....My sauce and meatballs are insane...BUT! I didn't eat them. I didn't even get the urge!
I had 1 veggie burger with the sauce on top and 1/2 cup brown rice pasta! I was happy!

I weigh in at 123lbs....I would LOVE to be where I was last year- 117lbs...I am sure with the running and decrease in weights at the gym, I will get there!

Well, off to kick some ass with my girls! I love to make "em sweat and get in sick shape!

Have a FABULOUS Day, and remember... Have 1 Green Goddess Shake a day!

What a gorgeous morning!

WOW! Feel like summer is back! hmmm, wouldn't that be nice. Actually I look forward to the leaves changing and eating all of the fabulous foods that are in season during the fall...I am excited. When I was at Whole Food's yesterday, I saw ACORN SQUASH! My eyes lit up like a Christmas Tree!

This morning I had a "Boot Camp" session with two AMAZING girls. Mom & daughter team, Jessica and Evelyn. What I love about these two is their focus, intensity and drive! Doesn't matter how hard I make them work, they JUST DO IT! They do it with smiles and GRACE! I love their relationship and bond. It's so nice to see Jess cheering her mom on when a set or rep is too hard. She pushes her mom through it! They come to each session ready to work, sweat and get in more fabulous shape!
Here is what I had them do at the track today...

Static stretches- 5 minutes
1/2 mile run on the track @ a faster then usual pace.

Circuit- 1st round:60 seconds each 2nd round: 30 seconds 3rd round: 15 seconds
Bodyweight Squats
Burpees
Step ups
Pushups

Circuit-
dbell row (in a push up position) with a "T" twist- 8 reps each side
Walking lunge with dbells- 20 reps total
Arnold presses-15
2 sets

Sprint the stairs
once at the top, do walking lunges across the stadium stairs
walk down, sprint back to the beginning
20 jump n jacks, 15 leg raises, 15 dips
Did this 2 times!

The girls were COOKED, sweating and depleted! MY GIRLS ROCK!

I am off to find a fabulous dress today! Mario and I have a wedding next weekend! Hmmmm, what to get! I will have to search the Westchester Mall! FUN! :O)

Have a fabulous day! Look out for a new Green Goddess Shake tomorrow!
XX yours truly!

Gloom!

That is the word that comes to my mind on a day like today! If I didn't have early morning clients, I would not have left the house. HOWEVER, I am glad I did! 3.2 walk 2 minutes

AFTER my workout around 12:30, I made my fabulous Egg white omelet with tomato & cilantro on an Ezekiel wrap! SO AMAZING!

Off to WHERE ELSE....WHOLE FOOD'S! I had to fill my carriage with all my fabulous goodies! YUMS!

It's so weird, but Saturdays I ususally eat the elast amount of food. I guess because of all my running around....

A little later I had a super thin whole grain pita stuffed with 1 tbsp hummus, 1 veggies burger (annies) and some sun dried tomatoes- insane! 15 minutes later my belly was still hungry so I had a "KIND" fruit and nut bar..... umm, still hungry! This is why I KNOW i am burning so many calories....I AM HUNGRY ALL THE TIME plus I am SHRINKING!

My first video! Can you tell I am camera shy!

My NEW way of eating and ENJOYING foods!

How many of you count calories, weigh your protein, Avoid carbs and certain fruits...Or how about those of you who just EAT WHATEVER you want and worry about it later or just work out for 3-4 hours to burn off what you ate? I have to tell you, I have...I have counted, weighed, measured logged and kept track of EVERYTHING I put in my MOUTH! Well, I can tell you from all my experiences, that logging what you eat works! YES, if you keep track of what you eat, you can figure out what foods trigger certain things like bloating, gas, water retention, fat gain, being tired, skin flair ups, etc.... As for weighing and measuring your foods, I came to find that it's not a great way to enjoy food and quite honestly, it takes up so much time in your daily routine! I know- I have done it!

I am finally at a point in my life where I know my body! I know what works and what does not. My body is most happy and content when I fuel it with VEGGIES (hence the name GREEN GODDESS) and fruits and grains. I probably eat more veggies than most people, and it doesn't make me healthier than you or the next person, it's JUST WHAT WORKS FOR ME. I have come up with so many new recipes and shakes!
Speaking of shakes, I used to use the typical BODY BUILDER whey protein...Ya know 40 grams of protein / scoop, blah blah blah! Realizing that my belly was always bloated, crampy and gassy! Beginning this summer I experimented with new sources of proteins for my shakes. I LOVE shakes by the way! They are a quick way to get all my nutrients in one meal and I can make it and run and do errand...I do get crazy looks because they are GREEN, But, I think they are just curious jealous and wonder what the heck I am drinking!

I have certain staples in my diet now... Foods I can't live without! For example...Frozen Blueberries are my absolute favorite fruit....Next on my fruit list are FIGS! OMG! They are so nutritious for you and loaded with potassium! I also re-introduced bananas back in my diet, I know some of you who know me are shocked! It's been sooo long, but they are great for you and again loaded with nutrients your body needs! I especially love to chop one up, freeze it and add to my post workout shake! AMAZING!
My breakfast has been Goat's Milk Yogurt (which my belly likes and doesn't bother). I have a cup of that and add in a scoop pr Green Vibrance, 2 tbsp bee pollen, 1 tbsp hemp seeds and 1/2 cup YOGI granola crisps! This breakfast is FILLED to the brim with nutrients to keep me satisfied, energized and ready to kick some ass as work! I need to be on top of my game bright and early to train my HOT MOMMA'S in Greenwich! I love my girls and they LOVE getting their butts whooped!

I would have taken a picture of what it looks like but when I wake up, I am STARVING!!!! I wasn't about to look for the camera! Sorry, next time!
SO let me tell you about other foods I LOVE!
Ezekiel Wraps! These wraps are made of WHOLE GRAINS and SPROUTS! They are filled with fiber and taste amazing! SO what I LOVE to make is a 5 egg white omelet with fresh spinach, mushrooms and chopped red onions. On the Wrap I take 1/2 smashed AVOCADO and spread it on! I flop the egg white omelet on top and TA DAH! A fabulous wrap! This wrap keeps me satiated and full of energy. I get all my protein, m complex carbs, my GOOD fats. SO tell me why I should measure or weigh anything in this meal? Hmmmm...

Along with my meal, I usually drink 1 of two things: Water or the fabulous COCONUT WATER!

it's refreshing, full of potassium and so YUMMY!
As for my snacks...I stick to LARA bars! They are raw, real and super healthy!
There are so many flavors. I tend to stick to the COCONUT Lara Bar...another addiction, but the other flavors are just as good! What I like is that when you read the ingredients, you can count on your fingers how many are in there, and they include fruits, nuts and spices! NO SUGAR or additives!
What is in your protein bar? hmmm

Well, these are some things I can't live without! These are my GREEN GODDESS Foods..
There are so many more, but I will post them a little each day!
Look forward to a new recipe each day, long with my running journal and workout journal!
Have a FABULOUS GREEN LIVING DAY!

The GREEN GODDESS

All about my running!

Since Isabella has been working on my blog, I haven't been able to post my running logs...I am going to post what I have been doing to get me running.... MIND YOU- I HATED cardio! I ONLY did it if I were competing...BOY HAVE TIMES CHANGED!

So, I got the runners "BUG" about 2 months ago, when I decided that I was ready to change my way of training. I decided that if I was doing a marathon, it was going to be for a few reasons. 1. I wanted to run for a GOOD cause and 2. I was running to get even healthier and lean out to lose this bulk look I have going on. I am going to join "TEAM IN TRAINING"
www.teamintraining.org
BUT, I want to train myself first before I start running with a group...I wouldn't want to hold anyone back....Besides, I still have a bit of an ego! Well, I do, so what!

Team in Training....Over the past 20 years, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® (TNT)  has grown to become an unparalleled sports training program.  More than 390,000 participants, from first timers to seasoned athletes,  have trained with the Team and achieved their best at marathonshalf marathonstriathlons,100-mile century bike rides and hiking adventures.

I think I will GRADUALLY work my way up to 4 miles. What do you think?

Ahhhhhh, and TODAY, I am OFF! Now, I am bursting with energy, I could really go for a run and blast some full body workout movements, BUT! I am sticking to the plan! Slow and steady wins the race, especially with my sensitive little body! :O)

taking off days also helps me look forward to my next run. I love the physical exertion I feel when I run and I love the way I feel afterwards. While running, my mind takes me away to another world releasing stress and worries. I also notice I am in a better mood when I am done and my spirit is engaged!
